N.Y.S. Medicaid will no longer cover certian drugs starting October 1, 2011

Effective October 1, 2011, the Medicaid program will no longer cover drugs in the following drug classes when billed for full benefit Medicare/Medicaid dual eligibles:

* Atypical antipsychotics;

* Antidepressants;

* Antiretrovirals used in the treatment of HIV/AIDS; and

* Antirejection drugs used for tissue and organ transplants.

Medicare Doesn't Cover Dental Work

Medicare, which is a Federal program doesn't cover dental work at all. However, medicaid, which is a state funded program covers dental work. So, in laymen's terms if one is on welfare their teeth are covered. I don't feel this is right.
